Worship at the alter/stage…Wandera

Music on stage/Alter /platform

Music on stage is first practiced before stage, in places like; your mind, heart, your eyes, your ears, your
nerves your bedroom or rehearsal places
The moment you discover you’re talent in music, it calls for a strong relationship between you and her,
launching deeper in love
Use your ears, eyes, mouth and tongue, your voice, your mind, your heart and body to grow your
relationship with her and become a close friend
There are times you feel like you don’t want to sing or listen to her, may be your voice is caught up,
instrumentalist are not on point or no morale, just know the enemy wants to separate you and don’t
allow it to happen push on and check on her at least three times a day
Close yourself indoors and start singing while you prophesy healing to the people of God
Be free with yourself first if you goner be free with people on stage
Be free with your fellow workers in the music ministry

1: Communication
Having healthier interaction with yourself and people around you will make you a free worshiper
A musician who is not free with using his body, soul, heart, spirit and voice can never inspire
We must learn to be inspirational, influential, adorable, punctual, and relational with revelation and
wisdom
After you have got all this your stage is goner be wow
Communication on stage
During stage/alter, communication is advised to be used by signs, Godly body language or instrument
melodies
However there are three important senses used for communication during stage.
Let’s take a look on this

(a) Tongue (mouth and voice) ; tongue, mouth and “voice” on stage is mostly used
 when inviting the backers and instrumentalists in a harmony form
 when inviting the congregation with words like “come on lets sing together”, “you got,
it lets go” and other inspiring, lovely and prophetic words , don’t use your mouth to
command the congregation negatively, there you will be operating out of the spirit of
God and your worship will be wasted, remember people’s lives depend on you during
worship and you got to be loving and spiritual, sanctify yourself for God’s glory, As a
worshiper note that you ‘re a spiritual Doctor whether on pulpit or during your daily life
James 3:10-12 cautions us to be careful with what come out of our mouth, good water
and biter water cannot come out from the same spring remember what comes out of
your mouth comes from the heart , the Bible encourage us to guard our hearts with
diligence, above all be careful what you think because your thoughts control your life ..
proverbs 4:23
 always put a smile on your face and never stay stressful all the time

(b) The eyes. ; during worship on stage eye contact is more important when communicating
1: to the instrumentalists, this can be either a change of song, calm down the music, raise the
music, get the right notes; this happens depending on the atmosphere and so requires a high sense
of discernment, instrumentalist, backup team and soloist must be able to discern for the effective
worship
2: with the congregation eyes act as a door for an effective worship, it’s good to open your eyes
while conducting worship because you got to know whether people are still following or not
perhaps they are confused of where to enter in or they don’t know the song
You will also know what is happening in their lives just by mere expression of their faces or their
actions
Signs
A team can decide on what sign to use and its meaning during worship and this must be shared to all
choir members and instrumentalists i.e.: this signs can be either by a certain voice scream or hand or
finger, anything you come up when it is not an abuse in your culture or in that new environment
Note: this signs are not shown to the public, must be done honestly
Melodies or rhythms can also be used as a communication by the instrumentalists
Other body language can be: move of the soloist and the shakings of their bodies
2: Discipline on stage and out of stage/platform
(Proverbs 1:7), (proverbs 10:17), (1 Corinthians 9:27)
Conversations on the platform during praise and worship is not advised
You need concentration to produce good fruits that people will enjoy
There are destructive moments during worship for example microphone feedback
Choir is advised to keep going, don’t show the mess because the engineering team already know what
is happening
There are times when a member goes off key, don’t show the mess but keep going and look for a nice
way of bringing them on the note
Learn to respect the leaders, the elders and all people while on and out of the platform
Know protocol and follow order
Greet people and show you love them, believe in them and don’t pass on them
Listen to the voice of God and pray for his people
Questions
What do you speak about your worship leader and other choir members in their Absence?
Do you have a bad feeling about them? Is it Godly?
Do you respect them?
Do you love them?
Would you defend and correct them?
How do you correct them?
What do you do before and after stage?
How is your relationship with God?
How far are you in the word of God?
Do you love prayer?

WORSHIP IN THE MUSIC MINISTRY

WHAT IS WORSHIP?
There are many definitions of worship, let’s take a look on some of them
1: Worship is a life style you live in the will of God, acknowledging God above all things …. Wandera
benard
2: worship is the reverence… The recognition of God’s sovereignty… Tasha Cobbs
Knowing who God is helps you to value his sovereignty, when you can’t know him you can’t
value him
3: worship is not a slow song and praise is not a fast song, they are all worship and they are all
praise….jormairo D. manor

According to the above true definitions
Worship is a lifestyle you live in awe and in fear of God that recognizes and show God’s
sovereignty with knowledge, dominion and love towards everything around you
On the music side of it,
Songs are formed by words and so praises are words but what makes them worship is the out powering
of the heart and recognitions you give God that he is Lord, giving him more than a song.
So praise songs are worship whether faster or slow they have no difference
I also say that worship is not a slow song or melody and praise is not a faster song or melody, they are
all worship and they are all praise

WHO IS A WORSHIPER?

A worshiper is every living that acknowledge and responds to God’s sovereignty with responsibilities to
do what they are assigned to do under God’s directions

Why worshipers faill in journey to international

I found out why our fellow gospel musicians faill to reach there international goals
There’s always full opportunities for you to break through
Mark this:
There is a territory lockdown spirit that hinders musicians go through the boundaries
They operate in things like:
Addiction to local language alone when you or someone else don’t worship a local language song you feel your not satisfied or not in worship you start misquoting things

It brings to you a sense that seems to be Maturity distancing you from your fellow who would help you push the vision, you start giving excuses mbu they waste time, mbu they’re still young

Then this spirit also gives you a fake mask of speed everything you do you want them in speed speed it even becomes a habit when you speak you’re so speedy

This spirit tells you gwe aliko no one else

Yesterday we learned about sacrifice
You start feeling bad, weak when it comes to rehearsals you take composing songs, rehearsing, follow up on fellows who are making it as leisure time or a by the way
No respect at all
No time for your talent
You now give excuses, compromise and say all sorts to favor youself

NOW when this spirit finds that you have defeated all this things and you’re about to break through it brings hatred in from the fellow ministers, you find that some of them in the choir and even the elders starts to deny you opportunities, hate you and creat fake words to accuse you
They even separate you from your fellows if you are a choir leader like me choir members starts distancing themselves for no reason or for a false reason and when the choir was seeming to go to it’s top spiritually and physically it starts coming down leading to it’s failure by itself and everyone in the choir becomes a failure not only in music but even in other aspects of life

One point I realized to my self as a leader is to watch.(pray) love, and keep moving even when you remain alone

GOOD MORNING

I love you all

The worshipers’banner Let’s learn

How to Be an effective worship leader
Note: all of us are worship team leaders

When pastor David told me to lead faith worship team I had no idea how to do it for this case of a new church in a new environment of Jinja though I had led two worship teams in kampala It was only through trial and error that I learned what building an effective music ministry in the faith church vision really meant.but I have come up with this just to stand out a good international worship leader.

Most worship leaders have good intentions, but over time many end up just going through the motions. Don’t let that happen to you!

Spend time in prayer. If you are not spiritually strong, you will not be a good worship leader. You must have a strong prayer life. When you spend time in God’s presence you learn who He is and what pleases Him. Only then can you lead others to Him.
Know the Word. You must know what you believe, why you believe it, and be ready to defend your faith. Worship leaders don’t have the luxury of being lukewarm Christians.
Focus on God. Having the best worship service in town is good, but your congregation should also feel comfortable worshipping without instruments, props or familiar songs. If prestige and popularity are your focus, your worship services will be dry, dead and meaningless.
Exercise authority. When I first started leading worship I tried to please everyone. I eventually learned that my job was to lead the congregation. If I didn’t, I was letting God down. Sometimes you have to be the bad guy. Sometimes you will make people mad and they won’t like you. Do the job God called you to do and it will all work out in the end.
Follow the Holy Spirit’s lead. Allow God to direct you in everything. It’s amazing how the Holy Spirit directs worship leaders to use the perfect song for a particular sermon or service. I was always amazed when we had a guest speaker and his or her topic went right along with the songs I picked for that service.
Be humble. Ego and pride can be a problem with any musician or singer. Don’t think you are above becoming a narcissist because you are a Christian. They are often the worse offenders! Remember Satan’s infamous fall? The best way to maintain a spirit of humility is to develop empathy and compassion for others – the ability to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. It’s not about you. That said, having false humility can cause even more problems.
Don’t be rebellious. Sometimes pastors or other church leaders will ask you to take worship in a different direction from how you think it should go. Hebrews 13:17 tells us we should “submit to those who have rule over us.” If necessary, God will change your pastor’s mind. It’s not your job to pastor the church.
Find what works for your church. Every church has a unique DNA that God designed for that particular body of believers. What works for one church will not work for another. The worship leader’s responsibility is to discover what it takes to make their church grow in the area of worship. Some things work, others do not.
Find your personal style. God called you because He knows you have something unique to give. It’s fine to learn from others, but don’t try to imitate what someone else is doing. What moves you? What is God impressing upon you? God uses the personality of the worship leader to set the style for the church.
Be open to change. God may move you in a direction you don’t feel comfortable with. Are you a contemporary music fan? Get ready to bring out the hymnals. Do you hate heavy metal music? Get ready for the screaming electric guitar. God loves to take us to new levels of freedom in our service.
Don’t be lazy. Singing the same tired songs over and over will bring death to your worship service. Using songs that people are familiar with is good, but never adding fresh material is a lazy way to lead worship. Always be willing to try new things.
Continue to learn. Good worship leaders are always learning and obtaining new skills. You must be flexible, while standing firm in your God-given authority. Listen to new types of music and visit churches that have different praise and worship styles.
Be willing to step down when it’s time. Just like in any ministry, there will come a time when you should let someone else lead worship. Only God can tell you when that time comes, but if you are open, you will know. Don’t be afraid to move to the next level in your service. Refusing to step down when God wants you to let it go is rebellion and will only lead to misery for you and the church.
The only way to teach others to worship Jesus in all things is to practice it yourself. If you are rigid, unmoving, and unwilling to change, the people you lead will be too. As worship leaders our goal is to point people to Jesus. It really is all about Him.
